5/7/2023 0 Comments Kiwi for gmail help![]() In my opinion, the short cuts are a crucial productivity boost. These shortcuts are one of the best things about Gmail. Keyboard Shortcuts: Gmail already comes with more than 30 keyboard shortcuts for absolutely free.Kiwi, on the other hand, will only let you have access to one account, unless you pay for the full version. I can connect 4 Gmail accounts and it works just fine. Accounts: The drop down menu in Gmail, near your account (which, by the way, works for most of your Google Apps like Calendar and Documents) does not have an account restriction like Kiwi’s free version does. These features are currently available free of charge in Gmail. The following are premium features provided only after a $10 payment for the app. Up to here we discussed Kiwi’s free features. This particular gesture is an Mac OS gesture (two fingers swipe) which works great in Gmail if you use a Mac. Gestures: I assume these are touchpad gestures - two fingers slide to go back or forward.I don’t think Zive’s “streamline” interface offers as much customization. However, Gmail’s allows users to customize how Gmail look: moving the chat window to the right, choosing a background image and a theme and changing how the inbox looks (and works) are just a few of these options. Streamline Interface: I am not sure how to address this non-technical “feature.” I assume Zive means Gmail’s UI doesn’t look as good as theirs? Maybe. This option is available in Gmail’s settings. Of course, most people use the email apps on their phone which supply notifications automatically. Real Desktop Notifications: I’m not sure what’s the difference between a “real” and a “virtual” (or fake?) notifications, but Gmail offers these sorts of notifications, both for desktop and for the phone via SMS.A small arrow in the top right corner of the compose window allows you to do just that. This feature exists in Gmail and is known as “popping out” the window. Clean Compose Windows: I assume Zive means a dedicated window to compose emails, outside of the general UI.There’s an option to add and remove an account as well. Click on your account on the top right corner when signed into Gmail, and see your other connected accounts. This particular feature has been living inside Gmail for a couple of years. Dropdown: I assume Zive means a drop down menu that shows all your email accounts.Kiwi, from what I hear, does not save offline email and cannot access emails when not connected to the internet - something that a “full email client” should definitely offer. This is misleading: Gmail also has parts of it installed on the user’s machine, especially with Gmail Offline. Full Email Client: What is exactly a “ full email client”? I assume Zive means native software, meaning, software installed on the user’s machine. ![]() Here are the details and comparison to Gmail’s existing features: Free Features
